The network’s primary aim is to be a complement to the learning in the classroom, providing members a platform to together delve deeper into issues, sharing their knowledge or bringing in that of experts in the field.

The network is coordinated by the students to ensure it addresses the issues they want to learn more about. It is organised around Working Groups. Within each group, discussions take place in either written form, or via video conferencing. Invited guests are a very important component of these discussion.

This network is currently running as a trial. It is due for review in the summer of 2016. The review will ask whether the network should continue, what improvement could be made, and should the network be expanded to include other graduate programs in agroecology.

This pilot project is lead by SLU and funded by the university’s education board (utbildningsnämnden).
