Wageningen review

Wageningen’s Rural Socialogy Group are amazing. The incentive structure for the teachers incentivises teaching and supervision of student research projects. Many only get salary for teaching and supervision. They don’t receive salary, and their performance is graded more on their ability to teach, inspire and supervise student research, rather than it taking a backseat to their own academic career, as is often the case in many universities. For those staff who want to do research, they must apply for external EU grants, most often they always get grants from programs such as Horizon 2020 and HorizonEU because they are so good at what they do. So they do not suffer from not being informed or up to date with research.

Wageningen is one of the major agricultural research universities in Europe. It has an extensive course catalog: browse the course catalog by department here. You can find more agroecology-specific courses listed on their European Agroecology Master’s webpage.
