MASTER OF SCIENCE IN AGROECOLOGY
Masters degrees in Agroecology are offered at numerous universities in Europe:
– SLU, Sweden
– ISARA, France
– NMBU, Norway
– Coventry, UK
Other universities around the world offer MSc programmes specifically defined as Agroecology, for example:
– UC Santa Cruz, USA
– Wisconsin-Madison, USA
While some others offer MSc programmes in which a strong agroecology minor can be achieved through course selection, for example:
– Nebraska-Lincoln, USA
– Aarhus, Denmark.
DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY
PhD programmes are offered at all the above mentioned universities. Coventry and Aarhus explicitly have departments of Agroecology that offer PhDs programmes and courses.
SHORT/ SUMMER COURSES
The following is a list of courses that have run in the past, and might be run again this year:
Agroecology at ISARA: undergraduate level.
Agroecology summer school: A.K.A. ISSAE, collaboration between five universities, admission restricted to 5 seats per partner university, runs during the summer. 2016 in Alnarp (Sweden), 2017 in Gembloux (Belgium), and in 2018 in Sevilla (Spain).
Land Grabs at Nebraska-Lincoln: free to follow, distance course, run by Charles Francis.
Six Month Certificate Course in Agroecology at Uni. of Calcutta (in collaboration with NMBU): Open to people holding a Bachelor’s degree.
Online course on sustainability and systems thinking.
MOOC by SupAgro. Free, Online, 6-weeks. In French and in English.
