Is agroecology too broad a concept to be an effective tool in reality?

About this Event

Since Stephen Gliessman’s first publications on the topic almost 40 years ago, the term “agroecology” has evolved and been taken up all around the world. In this webinar with Stephen Gliessman and the Agroecology masters students at SLU, we will consider the various dimensions associated with agroecology today and how it is implemented in different contexts. We will wonder why this broad and vast movement can be hard to define and easy to misinterpret. Looking to the future, we will discuss how agroecology is likely to evolve in the coming decades as it moves to the top of policy agendas worldwide. Join us for this exciting opportunity to talk with one of the most influential leaders of the agroecological movement.

This event is free of charge and open to the public.
